| In support of our common public health mission, FDA's Office of Inspections and Investigations' Office of Training Education and Development (OTED) provides free training to State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial regulatory partners. This page contains information and instructions that will be very helpful to you as you begin your learning experience with OTED. OTED currently uses a Learning Management Systems (LMS) called OII LearnED, for its training programs. OII LearnED LMS replaced Pathlore legacy LMS for delivering online and classroom trainings. Our goal is for OTED to serve you as a source of training, as well as, a provider of certification. |
Training for our SLTT Partners or State Training Coordination Services
In support of our common public health mission, FDA's Office of Inspections and Investigations' Office of Training Education and Development (OTED) provides free training to State, Local and Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) regulatory partners. This page contains information and instructions that will be very helpful to you as you begin your learning experience with OTED. FDA’s Office of Domestic Partnerships (ODP) works collaboratively with FDA’s Office of Training and Educational Development (OTED) to offer a variety of services to assist government agencies obtain access to FDA training.
What role does OTED have with training courses?
- OTED schedules a training date and location for a specific course offering.
- OTED determines the appropriate number of slot allocations for FDA and State agency employees.
- For courses essential for contract work, ODP supports OTED by coordinating, recruiting, and pre-registering state agency officials.
- OTED course instructors verify prerequisites upon receiving registrations and ultimately confirm an individual's acceptance to attend a course.

OTED Online Courses
OTED online courses are competency-based with mastery quizzes contained within each module. Once you have completed a course, you can print a Certification of Completion for your records.
