Requesting an FDA Patient-Led Listening Session

Please follow these steps to request an FDA patient-led listening session:
- Complete the Patients Ask FDA webform.
- Enter the information request, including:
- The health condition, disease, or your specific concern.
- Your organization/group name, your organization’s website, a brief description of your organization/group, and your organization’s mission (if applicable).
- Under the question, “Is your request about a specific FDA program?” select “Yes.”
- Then select, “Patient Listening Sessions.”
- In the remaining boxes on the form, enter the information requested, including:
- What topics you would like to share during the FDA Patient Listening Session?
- A draft meeting agenda (see Suggested Sample Agenda for an FDA Patient-Led Listening Session).
- Why do you want to meet with FDA? What do you hope FDA to gain from a meeting? What do you hope FDA will learn?
- Enter the information request, including:
- FDA Public Engagement Staff will acknowledge receipt of the request within three to five business days. We will review the request and follow up with you with any additional questions or to schedule a call to discuss next steps.
- FDA Public Engagement Staff will schedule an introductory call with the requesting patient(s)/organization to discuss the Patient Listening Session program and the submitted request.
- FDA Public Engagement Staff will determine if the request moves forward.
- If the request moves forward, FDA Public Engagement Staff will work with the patient(s)/organization to schedule the listening session.
