Phakic Intraocular Lenses

Phakic intraocular lenses are new devices used to correct nearsightedness. These thin lenses are implanted permanently into the eye to help reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses.

This web site is meant to help you learn more about phakic lenses. It only provides general information and is not meant to replace a discussion with your doctor, because every patient is unique and every doctor practices medicine slightly differently.
