KNOW YOUR NUTRITION - Partner Social Media Toolkit

National Women’s Health Week (NWHW) is an annual week-long observance dedicated to empowering women and girls of all ages to prioritize their health and well-being. Each year, the FDA Office of Women’s Health (OWH) celebrates NWHW by spotlighting key health topics that affect women at every stage of life and supports OWH’s Knowledge and News on Women’s Health (KNOWH) outreach initiative.

This year, NWHW is May 10–16, 2026, and FDA OWH’s theme, Know Your Nutrition, encourages women of all ages and life stages to make informed nutrition choices to support their overall health and help prevent chronic disease.

The FDA supports nutritious eating patterns by providing information that helps consumers make informed food choices and by encouraging industry to make healthier foods. National Women’s Health Week (NWHW) is an annual observance that begins on Mother’s Day. It is a time to empower women and girls of all ages to make their health a priority. Every year, the FDA’s Office of Women’s Health (OWH) selects a theme to inspire and equip women with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their well-being and live their healthiest lives.

This year, NWHW is May 10-16, 2026. As part of the FDA’s Office of Women’s Health Knowledge and News on Women’s Health (KNOWH) outreach initiative, and in collaboration with the FDA Human Foods Program (HFP), this year’s FDA’s theme is “Know Your Nutrition.” Knowing your nutrition can help women build a strong foundation for a healthy life.

By understanding what’s in the foods we eat and recognizing the nutrients our bodies need at different stages of life, we can better support overall health and well-being. By building awareness and making informed choices, women can take meaningful steps to improve their health – starting with what’s on their plate.

Throughout NWHW, OWH will share information to help you Know Your Nutrition. Visit the FDA OWH’s NWHW webpage for more information on the FDA’s NWHW activities. Follow the FDA OWH on X (Twitter) and U.S. FDA on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads to learn more about women and nutrition.
