BAM Media M123: Phenylalanine Deaminase Agar

Yeast extract 3 g
L-Phenylalanine or 1 g
DL-Phenylalanine 2 g
Na2HPO4 1 g
NaCl 5 g
Agar 12 g
Distilled water 1 liter

Heat gently to dissolve agar. Tube and autoclave 10 min at 121°C. Incline tubes to obtain long slant. Final pH, 7.3 ± 0.2.
