Beef extract	3 g
Peptone	5 g
Distilled water	1 liter

Heat to dissolve. Dispense 10 m1 portions into tubes or 225 ml portions into 500 ml Erlenmeyer flasks. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Final pH, 6.8 ± 0.2.
