The 2024 Scientific Computing and Digital Transformation Symposium marked a significant milestone in the FDA's ongoing journey toward digital innovation. The partnership between FDA and the Scientific Computing Board (SCB) helped advance FDA’s strategic goal of creating a shared “One FDA” ecosystem and helped to bridge the gap between stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing.

This year’s event highlighted a wide range of topics including scientific computing, artificial intelligence, data sharing and access, quantum computing, the updated FDA IT Strategic Plan, cybersecurity, and technology talent and leadership.

The symposium provided a crucial platform for aligning various stakeholders to the power of cross-agency collaboration in tackling technological challenges facing public health. A series of presentations, fireside chats, and panel discussions fostered a shared learning environment. The event facilitated valuable networking opportunities, creating space for building new partnerships and reinforcing existing ones.
