Event Summary

This year, the FDA Scientific Computing Board (SCB) and the Office of Digital Transformation (ODT) have partnered to co-host this event, which advances our strategic goal to ‘Create a Shared OneFDA Ecosystem’ and facilitates stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing. This year's Symposium promises to provide an even richer experience than before. The theme for 2024, "Solutions for Public Health: Uniting Scientific Computing, Enterprise IT, and Innovative Technologies," reflects the power of cross-agency collaboration in tackling scientific and technological challenges facing public health. We will have topics related to scientific computing, how we are furthering FDA’s IT Strategic Plan, as well as exciting joint sessions on the following topics:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Public Health: Explore how AI can revolutionize the FDA’s public health mission.
  • Data Sharing & Access: Discuss new approaches to break down data silos and accelerate scientific progress.

The FDA Scientific Computing Days has been the flagship annual event advocating for scientific computing to advance the agency’s public health and scientific and regulatory mission. More recently, the Digital Transformation Symposium has explored the FDA’s IT investments and challenges, opportunities for partnership, and strategic priorities. Together, SCB and ODT brings you the best in scientific computing and enterprise innovation.
