Import Alert Sample Page

Import Alerts all follow the same basic format/layout. The graphics below break down and explain the major sections within each import alert.

Import Alerts Sample Explained (part 1)

Import Alerts Sample Explained (part 2). IMPORT ALERT NAME displays the name of the import alert. REASON FOR ALERT section provides the historical background to help the reader understand why the import alert was created. GUIDANCE section describes what actions the FDA may take and may provide guidance on how to be removed from the alert.

Import Alerts Sample Explained (part 3). PRODUCT DESCRIPTION section can be based on the type of alert. CHARGE section describe what type of products pertain to this import alert. COUNTRIES section is included for country or area-wide import alerts and includes the countries/areas subject to DWPE. These types of alerts will also include product codes associated with the alert.

Import Alerts Sample Explained (part 4). LISTING SECTION is the bottom of the Import Alert that lists the firm/product combinations that are either subject to DWPE (i.e. on the red or yellow list) or exempt from DWPE (i.e. on the green list)
