Foodborne Outbreak Overview of Data (FOOD) Reports

CORE Foodborne Outbreak Overview of Data (FOOD) Reports provide information on food-pathogen pairs that have been linked to repeated outbreaks of foodborne illness. FOOD Reports include historical epidemiologic data, laboratory analysis, traceback and investigational findings, and post-response prevention activities taken by FDA and its partners. These reports were developed to provide information that may be useful in preventing future foodborne illnesses.

The FOOD Report 1 (Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) in Berries) & FOOD Report 2 (Salmonella in Tahini), both issued in September 2025, are the first reports in a series of planned FOOD Reports.
