FDA's Geographic Information System

The Office of Emergency Management operates a Geographic Information System (GIS), a computer based regulatory/health information system that provides situational awareness and a common operational picture during incidents, outbreaks, or terrorist threats in the form of maps that geographically depict FDA regulated firms and other locations of interest.

Below is one example of GIS used during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Response.
