Company Announcement

New Seasons Market LLC is recalling NSM 8-pack mini butter croissants and 8-pack mini chocolate croissants because they contain undeclared egg. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

In addition, mini chocolate croissants are recalled because they contain undeclared soy lecithin.

Both varieties of mini croissants were distributed in Oregon and Washington to New Seasons Market stores for retail in the Bakery department.

The mini croissants were packaged in a clear plastic clam-shell container, and labeled as shown in the photos below. The packages were sold from display tables in the Bakery department.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing egg were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of egg. Products were slightly sprayed with egg before baking.  

There have been no reports of illness to date.

New Seasons is urging customers with any egg health concerns or allergies to return or dispose of the recalled mini croissants for a full refund. Receipts are not required for the return. New Seasons is standing by to answer customer questions at its stores or via email: talktous@newseasonsmarket.com.

This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
