Who We Are
As the only criminal investigative and law enforcement entity within a federal public health agency, OCI is part of the Office of Inspections and Investigations (OII) within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. OCI conducts investigations at home and abroad to ensure the safety of American food, drugs, medical devices, and tobacco products. OCI works with partners across the world to investigate crimes and protect public health. OCI employs special agents, technical surveillance specialists, research specialists/analysts, and professional staff.
