Who We Are
OCI is part of the Office of Inspections and Investigations (OII) within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. OCI has the unique and exclusive authority to investigate criminal violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act to ensure the safety of American food, drugs, medical devices, and tobacco products. OCI works with partners across the world and employs special agents, technical surveillance specialists, research specialists/analysts, and professional staff to investigate crimes and protect public health.
