Justin Green, Assistant Commissioner for Criminal Investigations
Justin Green is the Assistant Commissioner for Criminal Investigations (OCI). He provides leadership and strategic direction to advance the Office of Criminal Investigation’s mission to protect the public health. Green brings nearly 20 years in law enforcement experience to this role.
Most recently, Green served as OCI’s deputy director. As second-in-command, he provided executive-level leadership and technical direction to advance OCI’s mission. Green spearheaded the supervision of OCI’s six field offices and its headquarters and managed key functional areas including information technology, center-level liaison programming, international operations, budget/accounting, human resources, general service functions, and nearly all the FDA’s federal criminal investigations.
Green joined the OCI Miami Field Office in 2008 and progressed in leadership roles. In 2013, he was promoted to senior operations manager overseeing OCI’s Tobacco Enforcement Program. In 2016, Green advanced to assistant special agent in charge, headquarters operations, and then became the Miami Field Office’s special agent in charge.
Before joining OCI, Green began his law enforcement career as a special agent with the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Green earned a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical (A&M) University. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Executive Institute’s Leadership for a Democratic Society Program, and the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program, where he earned an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership. He is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
