Executive and Scientific Positions at OII

OII has a number of open executive level positions that encompass a variety of disciplines. Along with specific requirements for each position, candidates for these positions should:

  • Have experience in multiple management areas (e.g. personnel management, budgeting/financial management, change management, process management, etc.) for large organizations or encompassing a large portfolio of work.
  • Be decisive, politically astute, and able to be a public face for not only their organization, but OII and the FDA as well.
  • Have experience managing competing priorities and working both horizontally and vertically in and across organizations.

Title 42: Executive and Scientific Positions at OII

OII hires Title 42 positions to recruit and retain the services of executive, supervisory/managerial individuals performing scientific work.  Individuals appointed under this authority must have a doctoral degree and a high level of scientific/professional qualifications and expertise.  Candidates must have professional experience and stature in their area of expertise commensurate with the duties of the scientific position being filled.

Title 21: 21st Century Cures Act Positions at OII

Additionally, OII will announce Title 21 (Cures) positions at the executive, scientific and technical levels among a variety of disciplines.  The specific requirements for each position will vary and candidates should read each job announcement to assess whether their knowledge, skills and experience align with the desirable qualifications.

This position is being filled under a stream-lined hiring authority, Title 21 of the United States Code (21 US Code 379d-3a) as amended by the 21st Century Cures Act of 2016, section 3072 and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, Section 3624. The candidate selected for this position will serve under a career or career-conditional appointment and be paid under the provisions of the authority.
