Indications:

  • For active immunization for the prevention of influenza disease caused by influenza virus subtypes A and type B contained in the vaccine, for persons 2 through 49 years of age.

On September 20, 2024, FDA approved FluMist for self or caregiver administration. For the current 2024-2025 influenza season, FluMist is available for administration by a healthcare provider only. The manufacturer of FluMist (MedImmune, LLC) anticipates that FluMist will be available for the 2025-2026 influenza season for self or caregiver administration.
