PATH Study Data User Workshop: Apply by June 29

Join us for virtual sessions on August 11-12 or September 17-18

June 2, 2026

The FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) and the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH’s) National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) are co-sponsoring a free online Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study Data User Workshop with two sessions from August 11-12 and September 17-18 on Zoom. Both sessions will cover the same material, and applicants can select the session that best fits their schedule when applying.

This free workshop is designed for academic faculty, research professionals, and graduate students interested in tobacco regulatory science or prevention/translation research. FDA and NIH’s PATH Study is a rich data source for researchers.

The online workshop will include a combination of lectures, discussion, and hands-on exercises to help attendees understand the PATH Study sample design and weighting. Participants will learn how to use PATH data to conduct longitudinal analyses and estimate change over time, as well as analyses to estimate prevalence.

Enrollment is limited and admission to the workshop is competitive. To attend, please apply by June 29, 2026

For more information and to apply, please visit the 2026 Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Summer Program Registration Portal for the August 11-12 and September 17-18 sessions.
