FDA to Hold Public Meeting to Discuss Intentional Adulteration Rule Draft Guidance

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will hold a public meeting on April 17, 2019 to discuss the draft guidance for compliance and implementation of the “Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration” rule (Intentional Adulteration rule), which was issued under the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.

The public meeting will be held from 8:30 am to 2pm at:

Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition
Harvey Wiley Building auditorium (first floor)
5001 Campus Drive
College Park, MD 20740

Those interested in attending the public meeting should register at the following website by April 10, 2019: https://www.regonline.com/builder/site/default.aspx?EventID=2559292

Please provide complete contact information for each attendee, including name, title affiliation, address, email and telephone number. If time and space permits, onsite registration will be provided beginning at 8:00 am.

Please note the following important dates:

  • April 10, 2019: Closing date to register
  • March 28, 2019: Closing date to request special accommodations due to a disability
  • March 28, 2019: Closing date to request to make public comments at the meeting
  • July 5, 2019: Closing date to provide written comments
