FDA and Stop Foodborne Illness Co-Host 5/9 Live Webinar to Explore “Food Safety Culture”

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the date for the 11th and final webinar in the series Collaborating on Culture in the New Era of Smarter Food Safety. Scheduled for May 9, 2024, the webinar The Journey Continues will be streamed live from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm ET from the Food Safety Summit taking place May 6 to May 9, 2024, in Rosemont, IL at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
The webinar series exploring food safety culture is in partnership with Stop Foodborne Illness, a non-profit public health organization. The series facilitates a collaborative dialogue among experts from both public and private sectors, exploring the significance of fostering a strong food safety culture to ensure the production of safe food.

Food safety culture is one of the core elements in the FDA’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety blueprint, which states that dramatic improvements in reducing the burden of foodborne illness cannot be made without doing more to influence the beliefs, attitudes, and, most importantly, the behaviors of people and the actions of organizations.
