MAGNUM Brand products may be harmful due to hidden drug ingredients

[7-1-2026] The Food and Drug Administration continues advising consumers not to purchase or use MAGNUM brand products sold for sexual enhancement across various websites and retail stores. FDA laboratory analysis has confirmed that MAGNUM brand products sold in various dosage forms including capsules and honey contain ingredients not listed on the product labels.

FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that MAGNUM XXL 300K Honey contains sildenafil and tadalafil not listed on the product label.

Sildenafil and tadalafil are the active ingredients in the FDA-approved prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis, respectively, used to treat erectile dysfunction. These may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. This is especially concerning for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease, who commonly take nitrate-containing medications.


[12-8-2021] The Food and Drug Administration is advising consumers not to purchase or use Magnum XXL 9800, a product promoted and sold for sexual enhancement on various websites, including www.walmart.com, and possibly in some retail stores.

FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Magnum XXL 9800 contains sildenafil, the active ingredient the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction.


[11-24-2020] The Food and Drug Administration is advising consumers not to purchase or use Magnum XXL 9800 Magnum XXL 50K, products promoted for sexual enhancement. These products were identified during an examination of imported goods.

FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Magnum XXL 9800 and Magnum XXL 50K contain sildenafil not listed on the product label.

Sildenafil is the active ingredient in Viagra, an FDA-approved prescription drug used to treat erectile dysfunction. FDA approval of Viagra is restricted to use under the supervision of a licensed health care professional. This undeclared ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.
