  • Hyperactive in up to 30% of East Africans
  • Catalyzes primary metabolism of:
    • Codeine
    • Many ?-blockers
    • Many tricyclic antidepressants
  • Inhibited by:
    • Fluoxetine
    • Haloperidol
    • Paroxetine
    • Quinidine
