Plain Writing Act Compliance Report

The Plain Writing Act and the final guidance issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires all agencies to complete an annual compliance report. The report below tells the government and public how our agency, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is complying with the Plain Writing Act and OMB's final guidance issued. Specifically, it includes information about the following topics:

  • Outreach activities promoting Plain Writing Act employee awareness;
  • Employee plain language training completions by type and number; 
  • Agency communications developed using plain language guidelines;
  • Public outreach and satisfaction with agency communication; and
  • Web site updates.
