FDA Provides Summary Data on the Registration and Listing of Cosmetic Product Facilities and Products

Cosmetics Constituent Update

March 13, 2025

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is providing summary data from mandatory registration of cosmetic product facilities and listing of cosmetic products.

Under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA), manufacturers and processors of a cosmetic product for distribution in the United States must register their facilities with the FDA and renew their registration every two years. A responsible person must list each marketed cosmetic product with the FDA, including product ingredients, and provide any updates annually. There are exemptions, including for certain small businesses and for certain products and facilities that are subject to requirements for drugs and devices.

The tabulated data is available to the public on the FDA’s Registration and Listing of Cosmetic Product Facilities and Products webpage at https://www.fda.gov/cosmetics/registration-listing-cosmetic-product-facilities-and-products.
