Q1: How did your career begin at FDA?

Florence McLellen: I began my career at FDA here at the lovely Jefferson Arkansas campus in 2010. I hope to end it here as well. I work in the chemistry group in the Office of Scientific Coordination.

Q2: What do you value most about working at FDA?

FM: I love our diversity; in people I work with and the project we do. My supervisor and I agree that no two days are ever the same.

Q3: Are you a part of any Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)?

FM: Federally Employed Women (FEW) and Military Veterans Advisory Group.

Q4: What are you most proud of in terms of your work at FDA?

FM: I value our ability to support the FDA scientific endeavors.

Q5: What advice would you give to an FDA job seeker?

FM: We have a place for you, so be open to new places and ideas. Oh, and Arkansas and NCTR are awesome places to be.

Q6: When you're not at work, what is your favorite way to unwind?

FM: Gardening, running races, painting, sewing, cooking, and most of all being a cat mom!
