How to Apply to the FDA Patient Representative Program

The FDA recruits Patient Representatives as needed—this means the agency will seek to identify patients and caregivers in select areas of disease, condition, or medical device experience as it works to regulate medical products. If we are currently recruiting in your area of experience, please read below to make sure you meet the criteria for the FDA Patient Representative Program® and check out our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

To be considered for the FDA Patient Representative Program®, please provide the following information about your experience with a specific disease, condition, or medical device via email to FDAPatientRepProgram@fda.hhs.gov. FDA staff will contact you ONLY IF your experience matches our areas of need. Otherwise, your information will be kept on file for future reference in the event that recruitment in your area is necessary.
