I believe it would be a grave error which would jeopardize the safety and lives of the patients you are supposed to be protecting from medical malpractice injuries; I guarantee you it is very easy to kill someone with propofol if you don't know how to resuscitate with skill. This drug should only be given under the control of an anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist supervised by an anesthesiologist. Many medically compromised patients have endoscopies in private offices, and if this drug is given in that venue, all the backup support available in the hospital should be available so as to prevent unintentional and unnecessary patient deaths.
