Regarding the Consumer Direct Promotion of Regulated Medical Products mainly antidepressants, the advertising campaign revolves around the idea that there is a chemcial imbalance in the brain and that the advertised drug can "fix the problem". This is a farce! There is no scientific evidence that such a chemical imbalance exists, let alone that any drug helps correct it.
By promoting such products, it promotes handling a problem with a drug - why not promote getting out in the community and helping someone else. This will surely help the person even more than taking a drug!
