Dear FDA:

I'm am thankful for your hearing on this topic. I would like to express my concerns regarding the promotion of Regulated Medical Products. From what I have viewed from these promotional pieces. They're not telling the truth about what these drugs really do to you. I have a father who is on several of these medications that are suppose to make him feel happy again and be like these actors in the commercials. The thing about this though is it's done quite the opposite. He is actually worse off than he was before. He isn't happier, his health is worse, and he has no energy or drive SINCE HE WAS PUT ON THESE DRUGS.
And not just him, but a few of my peers have been placed on these as well. One tried to commit suicide after being put on these and started to act real eccentric and maladjusted when before he was very sociable and artistic, and another one who became completely withdrawn from all his friends and acts like a zombie(literally) after being placed on an anti-depresent.
What these companies are doing is false advertisement and not laying out the facts behind these drugs Which I thought was a crime. I have talked with numerous people on these drugs and I haven't even found one who is "better" on them. It's affected my childhood, my relationships, and my family. I really don't believe they should even have these medications available.
