| The public advertising of psychiatric drugs is a 'psychiatric rape' and insult to the public. In particular, the 'chemical imbalance' that the drugs are supposed to cure. Please, there has never been any scientific proof of drugs 'curing' chemical imbalances. It is only a theory...the same type of theory that led people to believe that the earth was flat. The FDA has been in bed with the pharmacuitcal companies for over 30 years. Historically, the FDA's biggest mistake was not listening to Dr. Herbert Lay in the early seventies.
Unfortunately, none of the FDA's drug approvals (and dugs that are not approved) are for the 'public good'. They are only approved for the good of the private shareholders.
Why advertise a prescription drug to the public when the public cannot write a prescription? Does the FDA believe that by advertising a 'product drug' enough times that people will believe they have whatever illness or 'chemica imbalance' the drug will correct? What a waste of money and time.
