| Drug companies should not be permitted to advertize directly to end consumers. What is the purpose of doing so anyway - so that people can prescribe themselves by pressuring doctors? I think we have an over-prescribed populace as a result of all this marketing by big-pharma. People should be prescribed drugs by a healthcare professional only based on an actual need.
The drug companies may like their own ads on TV and in magazines but I find them revolting - I'd rather watch a mustard commercial.
