Issue Areas/Comments
I object to the proposal regarding advertisements and commercials to promote the use of psychiatric drugs, especially those claimed to correct a so- called 'chemical imbalance,' for which there is no scientific evidence to prove it exists. Drugs that are administered for Depression, for example, are dangerous and have various detremental side affects such as suicidal tendancies, psychosis and can cause violent behaviour. Instead of promoting the use of these drugs to the public, there should be a campaign to educate them of the dangers associated with taking the medication.
