| To Whom It May Concern,
As a public health volunteer with the Peace Corps in Ecuador, I was saddened and discouraged to learn of the FDA's decision to delay, yet again, a decision regarding the sale of emergency contraception. Every day in this country where women's health is often dangerously neglected, I'm tempted to compare Ecuador to the United States and congratulate the U.S. on its more-enlightened health policies. However, as time passes and the FDA grows more and more reactionary and less and less scientific, I'm beginning to fear that the differences between the two countries are growing smaller - and NOT because Ecuador's health system is improving. Please remember yourselves as a scientific institution, assess the evidence you have, and make a decision that will help ensure reproductive freedom and health for all American women.
