| I am writing to support required labeling of foods containing more than trace amounts of gluten. I am gluten intolerant and have, on many occasions, inadvertently ingested foods containing more gluten than is tolerated by my system. On those occasions, I become very ill.
However, small amounts of gluten can be tolerated by those who are intolerant and it is my opionion that a zero tolerance policy for labeling would be counter-productive, pushing producers to discontinue making some products which are actually "okay" for us to ingest.
I encourage you to consider the policy espoused on the website: celiac.com.
Thank you for your concern for those who suffer from celiac disease!
