Celiac Disease is a very individualized disease. I have zero tolerance for gluten including cross contamination. I also have other food allergies/intolerances. To label a product 'gluten-free' when it does contain even a minute amount is not acceptable to my digestive tract. I feel only those foods, medicines, and other products should be labeled 'gluten-free' that are 100% free of gluten and cross-contamination. I also feel that labels should contain information regarding the facility in which they were produced, i.e. processed and packaged in a gluten-free plant. I have wasted many a dollar on food that is 'gluten-free' to find out that it is not truly gluten free, either by containing 'an acceptable amount of gluten' or from cross contamination as a result of the processing plant.
