Adoption of the 20 ppm standard is essential. No product can be gauranteed to be gluten free. Celiac patients understand this. What is needed is a recognized standard which gives celiac patients the basic information needed to judge store package labels. It would be senseless and harmful to adopt a gluten free "zero tolerance" standard, because unless you test all products and have dedicated farms and factories that never handle wheat, barely, or rye, then no manufactured products can ever achieve the standard required. Europe has dealt with this problem and the US should adopt their standard which has been proven to be effective and pratical
