I feel it is very important for food labeling, drug labeling, and prescriptions labeling is very important for gluten intolorance it is a very serious disorder that can cause major health issuses down the road. As for myself when I had to start shopping for gluten free foods, lotions, shampoos, makeup, otc medicine, ect it took me FOUR HOURS to do my shopping because I had to read every label of every product that I goes into my mouth, use on my body, use as pain, cold, allergery medications. If these items were clearly marked boldly GLUTEN FREE, SOY FREE, MILK FREE, EGG FREE it would certainly cut down on my shopping and expensie. I am also in a area that does not have a large source for health food stores where special made gluten free items, which are very expensive can be found. The closest is 200 miles or 400 miles for me to do any shopping or I would have to do mail order which can also be expensive. I can get some special gluten free flours and a few other items at my health food store but it is very small and some grogery stores have some of the gluten free flours. If food items were better marked in a regular food store it would make it a lot easier for me and all the other gluten intolororant people and other allergeries shopping a lot easier and less time. I do hope that you will take this into serious considerations for making the new label law a requirement on everything because gluten intolorance in becoming a number one health issue in the United States.
