Issue Areas/Comments
Labeling is key when you have Celiac disease. I buy no products that do not say gluten free. I will not buy a product when it says wheat free because this can be very misleading because of cross contamination. I spend hours at the grocery store reading labels. Since wheat, barley, rye and oats can damage the small intestines and lead to colon cancer I eat only gluten free-labeled products and stick to fresh vegetables and fruit. This is health issue as well as a social issue since it is impossible to eat out because of lack of education on this health issue. I'm encouraging you to make sure high standards are provided for the many people that have this difficult problem.
