| I have Celiac disease and require a gluten-free diet. I live in NY and have traveled to Europe many times since my diagnosis. What do I come home with in my suitcase? Not European clothes, nor knick-knacks, nor books. No, I come home with a suitcase full of clearly marked, safe to eat, gluten-free foods! I always tell newly diagnosed Celiacs how easy it is to eat and find gluten-free foods on supermarket and pharmacy shelves in other countries.
I urge you to adopt gluten-free packaging rules here, too. Please follow Britain's lead. Use their guidelines. I have never gotten an accidental "hit" while there, eating the clearly defined gluten free foods. I have gotten sick here, guessing if something were gluten free.
