I am DeArra Foster a 54 year old woman who experienced symptoms of heart disease and a coronary artery by-pass at the age of 51. I am enjoying a good quality of life and expect to continue to do so with the help of life changes I have made and the medicines I take. I need access to the newest medicines with the fewest side effects at the lowest price. However, I refuse to take the chance of getting counterfeit medicine by purchasing my medicine over the internet or from a pharmacy that I don't have a relationship with.

I count on my pharmacist, whom I have know for years, to provide me with the most important information about my medicine and the right medicines for me with my medical history. If you allow importation people will be put at risk of mixing wrong medications from potentially unqualified or poorly trained pharmacists.

I am very concerned with the issue of importation because I don't think people realize that there is no one to protect us from dangerous medicines if the hands of the FDA are tied.

One last comment that I would like to make is that if we allow importation we putting ourselves and the public at risk. This is a bandaid to address the cost of medicines. It is unfortunate that you will consider this and allow people's health and safety to be compromised, but you won't address the real issue of the pricce of drugs in America.

Please oppose importation and protect us from lurking dangers that exist with importation of medicines. By doing this you will support medical research and innovation that will continue to develop drugs that are needed to treat and cure the people of our country and others. Thank you for your consideration.
