Issue Areas/Comments
While I have no opinion on whether eating cloned animals, offspring from cloned animals or by-products of cloned animals is safe or healthy, I STRONGLY feel that I should have a CHOICE in deciding which products I consume. Therefore, it is IMPERATIVE to REQUIRE manufacturers to LABEL their products as a product of a cloned animal. Regardless of corporations' concerns that doing so would imply that their products are less safe or otherwise. There are many reasons to be against cloning, spiritual, humaneness, nutritional. If someone is opposed to the idea and practice of cloning, how will they avoid those products if not properly labeled? This is a simple and fair requirement. Are the profit concerns of corporations more important than people having the ability to choose their conscience?
