Issue Areas/Comments
First, I am opposed to animal cloning in general. Cloned animals often have a shorter life-span and are more prone to birth defects. If we wouldn't clone people, we shouldn't clone animals. They are intelligent and sensient beings like we are. Secondly, under no circumstances do I wish to nor intend to eat the offspring of cloned animals. At the very least, cloned food should be labeled. I eat only food that is labeled "organic." I have a right to know what I'm putting into my body. For instance, I don't think food laced with pesticides is safe, and yet food with measureable pesticide levels is allowed to be sold in supermarkets. I want choices and I want to be informed about my food supply. I won't eat cloned animals, or the offspring of cloned animals, and if you don't label them I will quit eating meat altogether. Please listen to the will of the American consumer and stop cloning animals, don't put them in the food supply, and at the very least label them so we can choose not to buy and eat them.
