This comment is in-reference to Docket # 2003N-0573. I feel that the FDA should make it mandatory for the package meat industry to provide labeling on products that are derived from clone animals. I will not get into the moral question of if its right or wrong to clone animals, but the American public should be able to decide for themselves if they want to consume meat from a clone animal. The Governments role is not to inflict its will on the people but the people should be the ones to decide what goes into their bodies. If the FDA does not mandate that the package meat industry provides labeling. I will take it upon myself to join forces with other liked minded individuals and call on our elected officials to enact laws which would mandate that the package meat industry provide correct labeling of cloned meat. If that does not occur I am pretty sure that the American People will boycott the meat industry until the labeling issues is corrected.
