Issue Areas/Comments

I cannot imagine a world in which cloned animals would be processed into food then hidden from consumers. I certainly dont wont to purchase food that has animal products if it is not disclosed to me that the ingredients may include any kind of animal products, cloned or not.
I am appalled that a proposal such as this can even be considered.
We, as a society have become so conditioned to be sensitive to every human beings diversity yet a federally run agency could allow or even consider putting animal products into our food without disclosing this information to people.
There are thousands of people who may have strict moral or ethical convictions for not eating animal products. Not to mention the moral debate surrounding cloning.
I myself am not appose to eating animals but I am certainly opposed to cloning animals to have them put into my food then passed on for consumption without my knowledge.
This proposal is another very scary step towards losing our rights as americans.
How are we to make moral or ethical decisions based on our convictions if our right to choose is taken away by hiding the truth?
