I find it unconsciencable that the FDA would rule that it is safe to consume meat and dairy from cloned sources after five years of research on the subject. We have evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to eat food from natural sources. Five years of research demonstrating the safety of consuming cloned meat and dairy is not enough. It is unacceptable that the FDA would find it appropriate to let these "foods" go unlabeled. People would not buy labeled items with the same frequency because they are concerned about the safety. It is unethical for the FDA to cover where food comes from - if people feel unsafe consuming such food, they are right to feel this way. The FDA then becomes a shill for the bioagricultural industry. This is totally unacceptable. I will use my power as a consumer to register my disagreement with the FDA's ruling on this.
