Issue Areas/Comments
Instead of protecting the public the FDA seems to be willing to put the public in more and more danger lately. Even if you are right, and cloned animals impose no health threat to the public; morally many people would prefer to get their meat from animals that have not been cloned. If you care at all about the public you are supposed to be serving, please make the industry label this meat as 'specially cloned for you'. Years from now after this product has been in the market and proven safe, maybe more people will buy it; but let us decide what we are eating. This is a basic human right. Also, please make the restaturants indicate on their menus if they are serving cloned animals. Thanks for allowing public input. Tell the industry lobbyist - not this time -.
