It must be known how the modified animals will be kept out of the food chain or at least labled as cloned food stock.Science has shown that genetically modified foods have the ability to damge human dna and thats not ok. Not merely a implied agreement can do it. I remeber the instance of modified food materials entering the food chain( gmo corn into taco shells) which caused great sickness. I have a vast amount of research on the ilks of gmos
and how we cant possible deem them safe for we dont even know what they will become in 10,15, 30 years. The manufators can say that the dna will be the same in all animals and that the traits that they want will be good. It seems unlikely that verbal agreements between individuals that are soley driven by the dollar can be counted on to keep franken beef off the shelves. We can be sure that a certain amount of 'cloning take place without our knowledge in the name of profit, but to support the legal cloning just seems wrong and it almost seems like a license to make american produced food even more scary. Lets clone a scientist for his ability to think straight and not be so willing to tow the line for fear that the funding will be pulled. thank you
