This is re the Draft Guidance for Industry; and my comment is that, as a consumer, I would like it if a) meat, livestock by-product, and dairy providers were required to label their products as to whether or not they are from cloned animals and their offspring; b) I would prefer that these animals not be allowed into the livestock population. Further: if they are allowed to be introduced into the food supply, then they, and the products which come from them, should definitely not be allowed the label "organic." In the event that fda does not require labeling, then certainly there should be no attempt on fda's part to inhibit "non cloned" labels from those who choose to not use cloned products or products which come from their offspring.
