FDA should absolutely ban the practice of clonning animals! My objection is a humanity one...not reliegious, political or economical. There is no integrity in humans who will manipulate animals, for porducts, in such a way. In addition, as a consumer and a farmer, I absolutely feel that it is unethical for the FDA to even consider making these products available without full disclosure labeling (for food and non-food products of any kind). This comment would also apply to GMO products. And the fact that FDA would see someone who would label their products as "free of clonned animals" as a violation is beyond grasping. What happened to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and truthful labeling reguirements? If the FDA branch of government allows clonned animals to continue, they should be prepared to endure the backlash from consumers who, like myself, object strongly to being forced to purchase and/or consume these type of ingredients without my knowledgable consent to do so. This would be another example of how our U.S government is no longer willing to do the "will of the people" for which they work.
