I would like to express my opposition to using ANY part of a downed animal for consumption by ANY means. With the several recent cases of Mad Cow Disease here in the United States, it horrifies me to think the FDA would entertain the idea of allowing even the smallest of chances to spread any bit of the disease to any living, breathing being. Do not cave in to the meat industry. They are only looking out for their "bottom line". Human and/or other animal deaths are just collateral damage to them. Neither I nor my children are collateral damage. Give the meat industry an incentive to not have downed animals by not allowing them into the food chain period. Send out a message that you really DO care about the public's health. BAN ALL USE OF DOWNED ANIMALS FOR ANY CONSUMPTION!!! Thank you.
