Issue Areas/Comments
I absolutely oppose the use of non-ambulatory cattle in animal feed or for any other purpose. My opposition is based almost entirely on my belief that we have a responsibility to prevent the unnecessary suffering of animals. It is well known and well documented that downed animals suffer immensely and that humane methods for moving these animals are rarely used. Additionally, there are grave health implications to allowing this practice to continue. I urge you to make a humane and responsible decision. As a professional in the financial industry, I understand the power and importance of profit, but not at a cost to humanity.
